Paisley B13 Peddlers

Bingo! You have arrived! I am excited to be supporting AARDA’S Autoimmune Walk. More than 50 million Americans suffer from autoimmune diseases of which thyroid diseases are. That’s 1 out of every 6 people in the US! The Autoimmune Walk is one of AARDA’s efforts to bring together families impacted by autoimmune disease to raise much-needed funding and awareness… Because together we can accomplish far more than any of us can on our own.

Please register to walk with me OR make a donation to help me reach my goal!

When we link together, we are stronger! When we link together, a cure is closer!

Atlanta Bread Company Fundraiser

Atlanta Bread @ 3680 Dauphin St has approved our GroupRaise Meal on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 5:00pm.

Now let’s make this meal happen!

Share this link with everyone:

Please RSVP by committing to eat with us on the day of our GroupRaise.

We need 20 people to RSVP on our meal page to receive final confirmation of our meal by October 16, 2016, or the meal will be canceled. This puts us on your way to reaching our total attendance goal, and shows the restaurant that we have been marketing. Getting RSVPs is important to help spread the word about our cause and to ensure that our meal raises enough support to fund our group’s goal to help with shipping costs of our African Library Project’s Rich Minds Book Drive to Sierra Leone.

Share our meal page link on Facebook, Twitter, over email, and anywhere else you can.

We need your commitments to eat to make the meal successful, but even if you are not able to RSVP you are more than welcome to come!  Thank you!!

Book Drive Wrap UP

Paisley Butterfly 13 hosted an African Library Project Rich Minds Book Drive this summer which wrapped up on August 25. The response was overwhelming! We received book donations from the Baldwin County Literacy Council in Robertsdale, AL, local residents and from Loxley Elementary School in Loxley, AL to helps us meet our goal of 1,000 books.

Loxley Librarian Ms. Swinson (left) and her helper

Sylvan Learning Center of Spanish Fort, AL was our collection site and did a great job of hosting our collection box.  Currently, the books are being sorted and packaged for shipment to the African Libary Project’s New Orleans warehouse in anticipation of being shipped to Sierra Leone, Africa.  If you could not donate a book, pehaps monetary support is your thing.  Please visit the link here: By mail, make checks payable to the African Library Project and send to:

If you wish to dedicate your donation in honor of someone, please include a note with the honoree’s name, address, and email so that the African Library Project can notify them of your gift.

Thank you for your donation!
